ProMedical responds to emergencies on the outer-islands using fixed or rotary wing charter aircraft with paramedic and portable Advanced Life Support equipment.
Overseas medevac of non-critical patients is conducted on commercial flights to Brisbane, Sydney or Auckland. This can be as a seated/escorted flight or by airline stretcher. Airline approved equipment is carried on each flight to meet international standards for Advanced Life Support care.
Air ambulance with retrieval team is used for patients requiring critical care or are otherwise time critical.
ProMedical coordinates arrangements with family, insurers, referring & receiving facilities and connecting ground ambulance.
